We had a balloon popping game like you see at the carnival. This year we ran it again as a tournament. If you miss, you are out. The winner was presented with a German shirt! After the tournament, prizes were awarded to those who could pop a remaining balloon.

The milk can toss game was back for another year. The goal is to get a 16" softball into the can. Since the cans had different sized openings, players had to alternate cans after each toss. It sounds easy but it is surprisingly difficult.

This year's Oktoberfest was a challenge once again since we welcomed our first child at the beginning of August. Luckily the little guy was great and so was the weather. It was a nice sunny day with temperatures in the 70s. The ceremonial barrel was welcomed back after having to sit out last year. We once again utilized our large garage to set up our food buffet. I had a great time running our balloon popping game. We had around 70 people show up this year. The only downside is that now the party is ending earlier than in previous years. We started breaking down around 10:30p but those who stayed until the end still had a blast.
