Backyard Oktoberfest Review:
Clear golden yellow color with a large, frothy, lasting, white head. Especially when poured into a Maß. Aroma is sweet malty and grainy. Taste is mildly hoppy with notes of caramel and a late bitterness. Simple light carbonation.

Backyard Oktoberfest Review:
Deep brown amber color when poured into a Maß with a perfect amount of head. Smooth and sweet malty aroma with notes of caramel. Tastes a bit more plain with some bready notes and a bit of caramel and toffee. Perfect amount of carbonation. Hearty beer that drinks well.

This one brings me back to München! Paulaner has some bigger hops than some of its beer brothers but it doesn't balance overall. It's enjoyably smooth and is probably why my friends and I spent the majority of our time in the Paulaner tent. I might have a biased opinion on this beer.

This beer has a nice mouthfeel with a clean finish. It is not bitter and has a nice golden amber color. There is not much of an aroma.

Eric Bramwell of White Pointer Brewery
Head leaves somewhat quickly, some nice lacing. Nice malty sweetness with just enough bitterness to balance. Light copper color. Good carbonation, nice mouthfeel.

Kristin Pittro
Basic Oktoberfest but good as a simple beer to get into the Oktoberfest spirit.

Backyard Oktoberfest Review:
Clear deep golden orange color with a lacing, white head when poured into a Maß. Aroma is breadish and sweet malty. Taste is malty with notes of caramel and a late bitterness. Light to medium carbonation that finishes clean and smooth.

My recommended beer for the non-enthusiast. This could have the best overall balance. Great aroma, taste and finish. Not too hoppy, not too sweet, but just right. Ladies, you might want to start with Hacker-Pschorr's Oktoberfest.

This beer has a nice balance of sweetness. The color is very similar to Spaten and a very similar mouthfeel. It has a nice malty aroma. There is a nice amount of carbonation as well.

Some head retention. Light copper color. Good lacing. Well balanced sweetness. Bitter on the nose then sweet. Special place in my heart as this was our first beer after arriving in Germany.

Kristin Pittro
Nice clean beer, has a stronger aroma than other Oktoberfest beers.
